An interesting game forLeones (8-9) which hosted in Ponce their close opponent Gigantes (8-7). Third ranked Leones managed to get a 5-point victory 83-78 . It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 28 points and 4 assists. The former international power forward Jordan Murphy (200-1997, college: Minnesota) accounted for 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-1997, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 20 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Kobi Simmons (196-1997, college: Arizona) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively for Carolina in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gigantes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Ponce went down to fourth position due to points difference which they share with defeated Carolina . Defending champion Carolina dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost.
